I’ve been wanting to share this infant ice skate booties crochet pattern for quite some now. These skate booties have been a BIG HIT and are my most requested product. I’m excited to share this free pattern with you and I can’t wait to see how these skates will be paired with other crocheted attire. Enjoy!
Infant Ice Skate Booties

Please be sure to read through all directions and entire pattern before beginning. These booties are worked in the round. Be sure to use your stitch marker while you work to keep track of your place.
Materials required for this project:
*Size 4 worsted weight yarn in the following colors: black, white, grey.
*G hook for newborn size
*H hook for 0-3 month size
Single crochet – sc
Chain – ch
Slip stitch- ss
Half double crochet- hdc
Double crochet decrease- dc dec
Single crochet decrease- sc dec
The newborn size has a sole that is approximately 3” in length. The 0-3 month size has a sole that is approximately 3.25” in length. Use the G hook to obtain newborn size and the H hook to obtain the 0-3 month size. I crochet rather tightly, so make sure to measure the sole of your bootie at the end of row 2 to confirm the length. Use a larger or smaller hook to obtain the correct size if my hook suggestions are not working appropriately for you.
To begin, ch 10 using white yarn.
Row 1. sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 7, 3 sc in last ch. Working on the other side of the chain, sc in the next 7 st, 2 sc in last st. (25)

Row 3. sc in each st, ch 1, turn (10)

Row 5. sc in 3 st, ch 1, turn (3)
Row 6. sc in 3 st (3)
Finish off leaving a tail for sewing onto the skate.
Connect grey to opposite end of skate and repeat rows 5 & 6.
Sew skate to bottom of bootie using the long tails.
Cut two 20” strands of white yarn. Using your darning needle, lace the white yarn through the front of your bootie as seen in the photos below. Lace one end in at a time. Tie your laces and cut the ends of the yarn to your desired length.
All finished! What did you think of the pattern? Was it easy to follow? Drop me a comment below or shoot me an e-mail, I’d love to hear from you!
As always, happy crocheting. (:
