After my family’s recent trip to the zoo, and after crocheting a super cute bear headband for my daughter, I thought it would be fun to put together a zoo pattern collection.
Headbands are all the rage right now for my 5-year-old daughter. She loves to coordinate her headbands with her different outfits and wears one almost every single day. This past weekend we visited our local zoo. A few days beforehand my daughter mentioned that she wished that she had some sort of animal headband. A light bulb went off for me (a crocheted one, of course) and I knew I could whip something together for her.

After a recent visit with my grandmother I spent some time contemplating a cute crocheted gift that she would enjoy. She is a big bird lover so I finally decided on creating an adorable baby blue jay. I worked up this little guy within just a few hours (all while chasing around my 1-year-old) so it shouldn’t take you too much time. You can change up your color choices to create a different kind of bird if desired. This pattern allows for a lot of creativity. Enjoy!
It’s the 4th of may and you know what that means. Star Wars fans all around the world are uniting to share the six most important words that will be uttered today, “May the 4th be with you”.
On September 4th, 2015 something incredibly unbearable happened. A beautiful soul departed from this earth and left behind a twin sister, a grieving mother and father and numerous family members with heavy hearts. One of my sister’s beautiful twin girls, Rosemary, had passed away. The pain and shock associated with Rosemary’s passing is not something I can even describe, just from an Auntie’s viewpoint. I can’t imagine the depths of her mother’s and father’s pain.
