It has been about a week since I’ve last updated my blog. I am usually crocheting on a daily basis, but I must admit that lately I haven’t been crocheting at all… I’ve been knitting! I’ve only recently learned to knit and have been participating in a knit-along. I am anxious to finish my knit-along shawl so it has been my main focus lately. I wanted to take some time to give you all a blog post packed full of amazing and FREE patterns today, so since I’ve got knitting on the brain, I compiled a list of knit-alike crochet patterns.
Father’s Day is less than a week away. I put together a nice collection of Mother’s Day inspired crochet patterns, so I thought I’d continue the tradition and put together a Father’s Day inspired collection as well. I brainstormed to think of items that a father would love to be gifted and then searched for crochet patterns to create them. I hope you enjoy these patterns. Please make sure to stop by and thank all of these wonderful artists for sharing their amazing talents with us!
EVERYONE has already heard of a Caron Cake, right? If not, a simple Google search will open a very wide Caron Cake door for you. As opposed to coming wrapped up as a skein, a ‘cake’ of yarn is wound much differently and (in my opinion) is much easier to work with. Caron Cakes have gorgeous color changes and a few different color options to choose from. There are a few different brands of yarn that offer a product very similar to the Caron Cake, but so far the CCs are my absolute fave.
Have you all seen the BEAUTIFUL crocheted cocoon cardigan that is all the rage right now?! This gorgeous cardigan was designed by Annoo Crochet Designs. The cardigan is essentially one large granny square worked up with worsted weight yarn and a large crochet hook- super easy!
It’s almost June! Can you believe this school year has almost come to an end?! I recently shared my free crochet pattern for my Kindergarten graduation cap so I thought I would put together a fun collection of free graduation crochet patterns for graduates of all ages.
I can’t believe this school year is already coming to an end. I remember the beginning of the year; the fear of letting my child go. I was so anxious to see my 5-year-old start her first year of school. Now with only 14 days left of Kindergarten, the anxious feelings have turned into excitement and my daughter is almost a first grader.
Headbands are all the rage right now for my 5-year-old daughter. She loves to coordinate her headbands with her different outfits and wears one almost every single day. This past weekend we visited our local zoo. A few days beforehand my daughter mentioned that she wished that she had some sort of animal headband. A light bulb went off for me (a crocheted one, of course) and I knew I could whip something together for her.
